This is a composite dam of stone masonry and concrete. The overflow section is 389 M long with 27 No. of vertical spillway gates, of 14.5M x 5M D/s face of over flow section is ogee shaped with slotted roller bucket for energy dissipation. The non overflow section on either side is 93 M long and earthen flank on left. The foundations are resting on compact granite rock.
